Job description:

African Sustainable Agriculture Research Institute (ASARI) at Mohammed VI Polytechnic University (UM6P) is seeking applications for a technician (CDD) in the field of Aquaculture. The role involves daily seaweed cultivation tasks, data collection, and assisting with lab work and processing activities.

 

Key Responsibilities:

Successful candidate is expected to:

  • Assist with seaweed species cultivation across the lab, nursery, land-based tanks, raceways, and ocean lines.
  • Prepare and maintain culture media, nutrient additives,
  • Maintenance of seawater systems.
  • Monitor water quality indicators (temperature, salinity, pH, DO, nutrients) and adjust as needed.

 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in aquaculture, Marine science or related field.
  • Have practical experience in aquaculture, algae cultivation, and lab/field work.
  • Ability to work outdoors and in wet, variable conditions.
  • Familiarity with basic laboratory methods and measurement tools.
