The Opportunity
SFP is looking for a highly organized and people-focused People & Culture Assistant to support recruitment, onboarding, and HR administration across its international team.
This isn't just another HR admin position. The successful candidate will be the person helping talented people join a global organization that's making a real difference, while working alongside a collaborative and supportive international team.
Employment Details

Employment Type: 9-month fixed-term employment contract with high potential for extension and/or permanent placement.

Location: Remote within the United Kingdom and Ireland.

Hours: 10:00 am to 6:30 pm, inclusive of a 30-minute rest period.
Applicants must reside in the United Kingdom or Ireland and have the right to work without sponsorship.
What You'll Be Doing
Recruitment & Hiring
- Coordinate recruitment processes from posting jobs to onboarding.
- Schedule interviews and communicate with candidates.
- Maintain recruitment trackers and systems.
- Support candidate screening and interview processes.
- Conduct reference and background checks.
- Prepare offer letters and onboarding documentation.
- Help ensure a fair, inclusive, and positive candidate experience.
People & Culture Support
- Maintain confidential employee and contractor records.
- Support onboarding activities.
- Assist with general People & Culture administration.
- Contribute to a respectful, inclusive, and employee-focused culture.
What We're Looking For
- 3+ years' experience in HR, recruitment, people operations, or a related field.
- Experience coordinating recruitment activities and onboarding.
- Strong organizational, communication, and administrative skills.
- Comfortable working independently in a remote environment.
- Ability to manage confidential information with professionalism.
- Experience using workplace technology (e.g., Google Suite, Microsoft Office, Slack).
- Commitment to diversity, equity, inclusion, and creating positive employee experiences.
Bonus Points For
- NGO, nonprofit, or mission-driven organization experience.
- International or multi-country recruitment experience.
- Experience supporting remote teams.
- HRIS, ATS, and onboarding platform experience.
- Employee engagement, wellbeing, or DEI program experience.
- Additional language skills.
What We Offer
- UK: £2,250 monthly; Ireland: €2,500 monthly.
- Fully remote working (UK or Ireland).
- Monthly internet allowance (£50/€50).
