Are you an experienced marine consultant ready to lead on some of the UK's most exciting offshore renewable projects? Do you thrive on solving complex challenges, guiding clients through the consenting process, and building high-performing teams? Looking for a role where your expertise helps shape the future of the offshore wind sector?
GoBe Consultants Ltd (part of the APEM Group) is looking for a Principal Consultant to join its Environmental Assessment & Consents team. This is a senior role at the forefront of the offshore wind industry — supporting large EIA and post consent projects and contributing to emerging opportunities in floating offshore wind and other coastal infrastructure.
As a Principal Consultant, you'll oversee the delivery of complex offshore projects, providing expert advice on Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA), Habitats Regulations Assessment (HRA), and consent / post-consent compliance. You'll act as a trusted advisor to clients, working closely with consent managers, engineers, legal advisors, and regulators to deliver effective, practical solutions. Alongside project delivery, you'll play a key role in mentoring junior consultants, shaping project teams, and helping drive strategic growth in this rapidly evolving sector.
At GoBe, you'll join a consultancy that has supported over 70% of all UK offshore wind projects to date. The company combines technical expertise with a collaborative, people-first culture, giving employees the platform to develop their career while contributing to a cleaner, more sustainable future, with flexibility, support, and opportunities to work on some of the most ambitious offshore renewable projects in the UK and internationally.
This is a chance to help shape the future of offshore wind, while growing your expertise and making a real impact. You will be offered the chance to work on a variety of projects, and the company matches this with a commitment to continuous development and learning to support your career.
GoBe is focused on creating a diverse and inclusive team. If you can't tick every box on the job description, the company is still keen to hear from you and is open to supporting your development — that may include working part time or supporting you to gain experience in a specific area, as GoBe is a growing company able to adapt roles to reflect individual skills.
