You will be part of a team that will contribute to Singapore's aquaculture sector's resilience and growth by developing science-based approaches towards the understanding and management of Singapore's aquaculture site environment.

What You Will Be Working On

  • Plan and manage projects that support the sustainable expansion and intensification of aquaculture such as environmental monitoring and management of fish farming sites.
  • Undertake activities related to aquaculture environmental data collection and interpretation.
  • Identify knowledge or technology gaps related to monitoring and management of the aquaculture site conditions and develop solutions to address the gaps, including conduct of relevant R&D projects.
  • Engage local and regional counterparts and specialists to address emerging issues related to the environmental sustainability of the aquaculture industry.
  • Perform duties as required for the smooth implementation of the aquaculture environmental monitoring and management programmes.

What We Are Looking For

  • Strong scientific or research background in aquaculture-related fields such as marine and environmental sciences.
  • Proficient in computer software applications, good analytical skills and familiar with statistical methods.
  • Prepared to work on weekends and after office hours when necessary.
  • Team player with good writing, communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Able to work in the office, field or offshore environments, including onboard sea-going vessels.
  • Fresh graduates from related fields are welcome to apply.
