Stakeholder Engagement Support Officer (6-Month Contract)

About OKEANO

OKEANO is a Coordination and Support Action funded under Horizon Europe (Grant Agreement ID: 101158065), supporting the All-Atlantic Ocean Research and Innovation Alliance and its Declaration. The project connects a 17-partner consortium spanning Europe, Africa, and the Americas, working to strengthen ocean research cooperation across the Atlantic basin.

The Role

The Atlantic International Research Centre is seeking a Stakeholder Engagement Support Officer to join the OKEANO team for a 6-month fixed-term contract. This role will support engagement with the All-Atlantic Ocean community, helping to connect researchers, policymakers, and other stakeholders across the Alliance's partner countries.

Key Responsibilities

• Support planning and coordination of stakeholder engagement activities across the OKEANO consortium.
• Liaise with partner organisations and Alliance members to maintain and grow stakeholder relationships.
• Assist with organising events, webinars, workshops, and outreach activities.
• Contribute to stakeholder mapping, communications, and engagement reporting.
• Support delivery of engagement-related project deliverables.

What We're Looking For

• Experience in stakeholder engagement, communications, and/or project support, ideally in a research or international cooperation setting.
• Strong organisational and interpersonal skills, ability to work independently and prioritise tasks.
• Comfortable working across international, multi-partner teams.
• Interest in ocean research, sustainability, or EU-funded projects is an asset.

Requirements

• Be based in the Lisbon area.
• Speak and write fluent English.
• Be legally registered to work in Portugal.
• Possibility to work remotely one day per week is preferable.
